01 / NRT

International-to-international airside transfer is described only when no reclaim or Japan entry is needed and the airline confirms eligibility; normally follow connecting signs and repeat transit screening. International-to-domestic requires Japan entry at the arrival terminal, baggage/customs as applicable, public-area terminal travel, domestic check-in and screening. Domestic-to-international goes through departure-terminal international check-in, security and exit controls. Overnight transit requires entry, not an overnight airside stay.
